Ceiling of the Benedum Center

The Benedum Center is Pittsburgh's premier center for performing arts. Formerly the Stanley Theater, the Benedum Center was renovated, restored and renamed in the late 1980's. Currently, the Benedum Center is the home of the Pittsburgh Opera, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera. In strong contrast to the classical audience that the Benedum Center draws, there are also strong ties to the Reggae and Rock communities, Bob Marley performed his last live concert at the then Stanley Theater in 1980 and the Grateful Dead performed two legendary concerts at the Stanley, Prince also picked the Stanley to kick off his 1981 Controversy Tour. The Benedum Center Seating Chart can hold 2,885. Most of Pittsburgh cultural events come through the Benedum Center and they are not to be missed, Buy Benedum Center Tickets today and be a part of live arts!
