Mark Eric May is a former NFL offensive lineman and Pittsburgh Panther football player, and is currently a football analyst for ESPN. At the University of Pittsburgh, Mark May was a star player and earned the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top collegiate interior lineman.

After a solid college football career, May was chosen in the first round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins where he spent the next nine seasons. With the Redskins, May was a member of the “Hogs” defensive line and helped his team to victories in Super Bowl XVII and XXII. Mark May went on to play with the San Diego Chargers and Arizona Cardinals before retiring in 1993. Two years later, May was hired by TNT as a studio analyst until joining on at ESPN in 2001. In 2005 May also gained a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame.
